REAL RACISM AND WHEN, HOW "APARTHEID" SLANDER WAS INVENTED BY PRO-NAZI ARAB LEADER SHUKEIRI IN OCT-17-1961

REAL RACISM AND WHEN APARTHEID SLANDER WAS INVENTED BY PRO-NAZI ARAB LEADER SHUKEIRI IN OCT.17.1961
 - Almost 6 Years before the six-day 1967 war, and almost 41 years before the anti terror fence erection.

TODAY, SO FAR: NEITHER TRUTH NOR FAIRNESS!

Haven't found yet any so-called "free palestine" group which is not engaged in extreme diatribe and demonization of Israelis. But anti Jewish hatred masked as "anti Zionism" is rampant.

When always loud ultra anti-Israel will begin to decry real racism and bigotry, you know, where there is no issue of defense and survival against Arab Islamic genocidal aims.... Especially speaking out on any Arab republic treatment of non-Arabs, or on any Islamic republic in treatment of non-Muslims... (including on those states, recipients of US aid, for those hiding under this masked excuse).

Don't expect any "ethnic cleansing" / "apartheid" outeage on Arab-Palestine punishing any Arab selling land to Jews, by death or/and by torture. (Search: punishment Arab selling land to Jews Palestinian ).

Or the planned 'Palestine' state, whereby no Israeli civilian allowed to remain, according to "moderate"  head of PA, M. Abbas (as reported in July 2013 by Reuters), and the wider explored Open Racism of the Future State of palestine Excerpt: 'The Palestinian Authority is building a racist regime based on the principle of establishing an apartheid between a Palestine untainted by Jewish blood and a mixed State of Israel where the Jews would become a minority. In its refusal to recognize a Jewish state, there is, in fact, more then a rejection and denial of Jewish history and identity. One may well understand that this improper and exorbitant demand serves a politically correct fig leaf for its fundamental refusal to recognize the State of Israel. On this point, the PLO abandoned its bluff of a “Secular and Democratic Palestine,” which it had promoted in the decade between 1980 and 1990, except that the Palestinians now demand that this formula be imposed on Israel, as they would like it to be,  while Palestine proper would be purely Arab. -
State-sanctioned Racism and Segregation -
Palestine proper would be, indeed, Arab and Islamic. That is written explicitly in the draft constitution of the planned state...'

Even this slander, so dreadfully, promoter J Carter admitted (as also published in LATimes, Dec. 8, 2006) "The book is devoted to circumstances and events in Palestine and not in Israel, where democracy prevails and citizens live together and are legally guaranteed equal status." He also (NPR and Brendeis, Jan.07) clarified that (even) he is sure it is NOT about racism.

Yet, major promoters of the term are enthusiastic precisy by injecting race. Happy that J. Carter promoted the term to reinforce their defamation campaign.

Well, asides from his admission, if not for the facts-less propaganda, it'd be needless to remind, Israeli Arabs and Palestinian Arabs are of the exact same "race"/color creed what have you. What differentiates them is the paper, citizenship and with it, if there are any Israelis' legitimate security worries why use this slanderous language? Did he ever, if he claimed to be sincere (vis-a-vis this case), by the same token, define as such, denying Israeli passport holders -without security concerns- by most Islamic, most Arab countries? And we are talking about a total ban, not certain restrictions / at certain times.

(BTW, unlike fake propagandists who prey on people especially of color, by racialising so unfairly. Most Israel is by in large 'brown'. Just fun fact.)

When even inside Gaza and Ramallah there will be some sliver of 1% equal to democratic Israel, such as (so far non existent) anti "Palestinian" movement and voices, the equivalent as Haaretz and its linked groups, and/or Soros' linked NIF and  Adalah... inside the free speech society - Israel so active. In other words, what happens to little Ahmed, even in "moderate" Ramallah if he dares, decries Arab Palestinian brutality?

When was the last time, or ever, that the left inside Israel, obsessed with term "racism" all over the place even when not applicable, has called constant past/present Arab targeting exclusively Jewish civilians what it really is, RACIST Arab terror?

It has been noted, that time and time again the apartheid-slur promoters prove they do not want real change. On the contrary, their goal is making Israel look bad, which can explain, as soon as, in 2020, some Arab countries made officially peaceful recognition with Israel and the lie of “racism” was exposed even further, desperate Hagai El-Ad of Betselem had to use the slur, which BDS-bigoted BDS, deported (from Israel), Omar Shakir, who cheered him in a tweet on April-26-2020, did so after him,  year later, abusing HRW.

Though, two rather very liberals, Daniel Kurtzer and Aaron David Miller wrote (05/04/21) in Newsweek against this HRW-Shakir "event", and against use of this term as a whole and that it really is counter productive. First they denounce the language of so called “crimes” compared to real crimes against humanity. They add that Shakir makes it sound as if conditions are in a vacuum. Of course the constant anti Israel violence and real threats are real.

But being counter productive doesn't matter when the goal is casting Israel in a bad light.

Haven't found any evidence against the fact that the separation wall has prevented attacks against Israeli civilians... Nor have I seen much talked about the vast number of cases where Israeli courts routinely favor Arabs over Jews... or on the other hand -  much mentioning of Arab Muslim countries mostly ethnic cleansed since 1948, yet, have seen plenty of those that repeat the apartheid slur invented some 6 years before the 1967 war which is called "occupation".

It was Ahmad Shukeiri (Shukairy, Shuqairy) who in WW2 (admittedly) prayed for Hitler's victory; was Hitler's ally Grand Mufti Haj Amin al-husseini's aide and reportedly helped the Nazis, Hitler since 1941, and in 1946 rationalized the Nazi led murder of 6,000,000 Jews.
It was this Shukeiri that invented the apartheid slur in 1961 at the UN while voicing opposition for Israel to try Eichmann.

Had it not been for Nazis' defeat and for apartheid condemned at UN, then hypocrite Shukairy would compare Israel to what? Yet, even through his war on Israel via this very language posing as supposed "anti racist" - he still saluted Nazi gang (Nov. 30.62).

That pattern of hypocrisy of being pro Nazism on one hand, yet still attempting to equate Israel with it on the other hand, was paradoxically at play since the beginning.

It also entails the opportunistic fake Pallywood early on, using Nazism as soon as it is shunned, only to defame Israel..

As this Shukairy praised and saluted Nazi gang (subsequently causing his ending position at UN) , to quote from a report at the time, he 'paradoxically charged Nazism and racism...'

Shukairy's rhetoric pattern actually followed the "pioneering" Issa Nakhle's inventive vilifying fake terminology since June 17 1949, comparing and even worse than Nazis theme, who in 1972 showed more of his true colors by denying the Holocaust altogether.

Speaking of fraudelant racialising Israel. That same Shukairy at least showed his real motive when in 1967 vowed to set up a "purely Arab government" in Palestine. Asides from all out genocidal intentions in declaring pre 1967 six-day war that non of the Jews will survive.

There is absolutely not one other country, which has faced imminent annihilation and living in constant threat even within its borders precisely because it's an open democratic society. While its population is  mostly Jewish, it is regarded by Goliath Arab Muslim Middle East, as the 'other'. Insert rather here all those terms: bigotry, racism, you name it. As it is applicable in the real sense, in this case vs that diatribe which is nothing but intended to demonize the pluralistic state.

Decades to "apartheid" slur by pro-Nazi, A. Shukeiri Shukairi (Shukairy)

Ahmad al-Shuqairy, ash-Shuqairy, shuqayri, Shukeiri, Shukeiry, Shukairy:
  • * In 1929, at the age of 19, was expelled from Lebanon, for anti-British agitation at University.
  • In the 1930s was active in ex-Mufti's extremist gang, first joining the Russians, sabotage the allies' efforts against the Nazis. Then after Stalin began fighting the Nazis, the gang left the Russians, switching over to Hitler's side, to support Hitler's anti Jewish war.
  • * Aided and propogated the Mufti 1938-39 (till 1959). He helped Mufti's gang murder his moderate brother Dr. Anwar in June-8-1939.
  • * Around 1937-38, while he edited newspaper, a "report" floated that his father, who was rather a moderate, supposedly suggested inviting Mussolini, so he will deal with the Jews as the Nazis did...
  • * At WW2, he and his friends used to pray for Hitler's victories and for the defeat of Britain. (His own admission)  Notably in 1940.
  •  Since 1941, he helped Hitler.
  • * Was a Nazis apologist.
  • * In 1946, after joining AHC, he restituted Goebbel's Nazi rhetoric, justified the Holocaust.
  • * Aug-1946, before the partition, and Almost 2 years before the modern State of Israel was established, he spoke about "race." About a decade later he said Jews are not a race, nor a nation.
  • * In 1946, he warned the Anglo American Committee that "if it's a question of violence, the Arabs are prepared to break the record."
  • * Shukairy even rejected liberal Judah Magnes whose proposal included renunciation of a State. 'Shukairy declared that Magnes was more dangerous than Ben-Gurion.'
  • * In 1947 he announced that "every words in the UN resolution will be erased with Jews' blood." Indeed, thereafter a wave of violent attacks intensified.
  • * At the end of 1940s, he "compared  Israel's economic planning for Jerusalem with Hitler's planning for a Nazi ruled Europe".
  • * In 1948 war, he cowardly ran out of the country. Leaving his people behind.
  • * In 1951 he "predicted"  the "collapse of Israel within 5 years..."
  •  * In 1952 compared plight of living Arab refugees to Millions perished in WW2.
  • * In 1953 he incited the Vatican with lies that Israel "desecrates."
  • * At least since 1953 he preached defamation of Jews.
  • * In October, 1955, he accused all Jews of supposed "dual loyalty".
  • * September 1959, he admits at UN that his host country S. Arabia bans Jews but said it's "not a matter of discrimination in the least... Not a matter of Anti-Semitism.  Semites cannot be anti -Semites."
  • * In Nov. 1959, he is "reported to have suggested that the Arab representatives try to drive a wedge between Jews in the United States and other Americans."
  • * In 1956, he still called "Palestine", as nothing but 'Southern Syria.'
  • * October, 1960 compared Israel to nazis.
  • * Invented the "apartheid" slur in Oct. 1961 at his UN diatribe (UN's 16th session). He also -at the same speech- objected to Eichmann being tried in Israel. It was on October 17, 1961, almost six years before the six-day war which some call it an "occupation,"  some 41 years before the security barrier anti-terror defense erected in Israel. Opportunistic, he used the then momentum in U.N. against South Africa. So he just compared it to S.A. That meme he uttered after already branding Israel with as far as "Nazi" label a year earlier, then he "dropped" to "levels down" of "apartheid." At the same speech of "apartheid" comparison, he objected to Eichmann being tried in Israel.  Then again later on he jumped up levels and said: "nastier than Fascism, uglier than Nazism."  (Which its roots are in Holocaust-denier Issa Nakhleh's wording in June-17-1949 memorandum, who by Nov-14-1972 said Hitler did "not" kill Jews). That and much like this, is of his legacy of wild labels-slapping, since enshrined in PLO charter.  [Also ironic was, as at those years, Jews in South Africa suffered at least partially due to Israel's opposition to apartheid regime. There outbursts of hate appearing: 'to be resentful that a big segment of the Jewish community consists of avowed liberals who often support South Africa's black majority in efforts to achieve political and racial equality. They also appear resentful of Israel's public opposition to South Africa's policy of apartheid.']
  • * In December 6, 1961 he denied there was any anti-Semitism in the world, claiming zionists "created" it. At the time he also questioned a Catholic member's loyalty stating he was Jewish. He also argued he's not an Anti Semite because he is Semitic himself...
  • *In April, 1962 (after already being rebuked in Dec. 1961) he bemoaned that there are "too many Jews at the UN." As afromentioned Fabregat passed by, Shukairy pointed at him saying: "there goes one of them."
  • * In Nov. 30, 1962 praised, saluted infamous nazi gang Tacuara and it's principles (while quoting a NYTimes piece, that headline clearly states it was a Nazi group), some 5 months after (on 21 June 1962) they brutally attacked, carved swastikas on a 19 year old student as a "revenge" for eliminating Eichmann. Tacuara also shielded Eichmann till he was captured and Mengele till he left. Shukairy was fired by Saudi Arabia from UN post shortly after, over this. Apparently this was too much even for them to handle.  [The audacity of it all. Bragging, saluting on world stage and urging the UN to adopt the Nazi gang. Their nature so well known. The brutal attack on a teen months before his saluting was well publicized. And most widely read in publication at the time. The New York Times published about Nazi Hail Tacuara on Sep.16.1961]. It was months after Tacuara tortured a 19-yr old Jewish girl as revenge for eliminating Eichmann subsequently prompting US Nazis leader G.L. Rockwell to enquire about the group and plan an international Nazi conference. (Nazi Tacuara hand in hand with Arab propagandists was as result of Holocaust denier Issa Nakhle's writings in the 1950s and Hitler's collaborator Hussein Triki's work).
  • * Dec.1962: Just before being fired from UN over saluting Nazi gang, he led an attack to pin Nazism label on Zionism.
  • * In 1964 drafted the "Palestinian Covenant." And in his book he wrote that Palestine should be conquered only as a result of armed struggle and not as a result of compromise.
  • * Fired up his followers into Jihad against the Jews in Israel and declared, whoever "dares to speak in public of Arab friendship-with the United States in any Arab village or town would be torn to pieces."
  • * In 1967: vowed to lead the vanguard of his troops into the Israeli sector of Jerusalem and set up a "purely Arab government'' there for all of Palestine.
  • * He threatened Jordan's king Hussein, if he didn't join the 1967 war.
  • * Called to annihilate the Jews in Israel in 1967: 'a war of extermination in which not a man, woman, or child should be spared,' he observed that: "none of them will survive." Asides from that on record. In addition, he is also by many, said to have coined the genocidal "throw the J.. into the sea". (Though, some doubt as to this exact phrase". Yet, M. Shemesh, the 2003 author of refuting this phrase didn't convince much why Shukairy didn't deny it when it was published in French paper before the six-day-war, at the Arab hype and excitement before defeat. He also tries to sugarcoat Shuqayri that his statement was in the context of hype in Arab street. More over,  the same author/professor who wrote so much on Arab-Palestinians and their history, apparently onitted the Nazi Tacuara salute which got Shukairy booted from the UN. That at least according to Google's result to search as follows: 'Your search - "moshe shemesh" "tacuara" - did not match any book results' Or a Google search inside his extensive book on their politics between 1959-1974, neither "Tacuara," nor "Argentina" has returned any results but plenty for "Shuqayri." And has even a full chapter about him. Enough said. Still, even Shemesh concluded Shuqayri's June-1967 statement as follows: "his statement 'in my estimate none of them would remain alive' obviously sounded like the intention to destroy or liquidate the Jews and that their fate was sealed. It certainly lent credibility to the claim that he had called for throwing the Jews into the sea." And academic's summary of his research: "Nevertheless, it should be emphasized that it is clear from his statement that his aim was to annihilate the Jews when he said ‘I think none of them will remain alive’, thus there would be no question of thei future survival").  In the aftermath of 1967, among some Arab Palestinians, at the time, the coinage "Shukeirian" referred to genocidal.
  • * He founded child soldiers "baby tigers" with Yassir Arafat and George Habbash.

[...]
In these two pictures lies the history of this house - said the Arab. The old man is the head of the family, Assad Shukieri Bey, and the other is his youngest son, the doctor Dr. Anwar Shukeiri, who was murdered by the gangs in 1938 [1939], in the Acre market, for - according to the gangs, not only Nashashibi but also a friend Therefore - a traitor. " ...
The sheikh took for a woman one of the beautiful and rich from Turkey, and on his return to Acre he took another wife, an Arab, from Acre. The Turk gave birth to four children: Dr. Anwar Shukeiri, who was murdered, the eldest son and two daughters, who are now in exile in Lebanon. The Arab woman brought him one son, he is the attorney Ahmad Shukeiri. The old sheikh and his descendants from the Turkish woman were among the "moderate Arabs", collaborated with Raghib Bey Nashashibi and King Abdullah and even preached for agreement with the Jews. The son Ahmad of the Arab woman, however, joined the Mufti and Jamal Husseini camp, and later served for two years as head of the Arab bureau in Washington, D.C., ever since the Shukeiri peace was disturbed, and the two camps did not talk to each other and became real enemies.
Mutual hatred reached its peak when the youngest member of the family, Dr. Anwar Shukeiri, was murdered in the Acre market by two gangs of gang emissaries. He was on his way home from a hospital visit when he was shot and killed on the spot. The two murderers were apprehended and at trial confessed that they had been sent by the Mufti to murder the young Shukeiri.
Further investigation revealed that the hand of his brother, Ahmad Shukeiri, was involved in the murder of Dr. Anwar Shukeiri. The murdered man was brought for burial in the city's Moslem cemetery. But those responsible for the murder did not have enough, even after the murderers were sentenced to death and hanged in Acre prison.
One day it was reported to the old sheikh, who could not recover from the blow inflicted with the murder of his beloved son, that the members of the Mufti gang were plotting to abuse his son's grave the next night: they would take him out of his grave, abuse his body and scatter his bones. You have no harder insult than that. When darkness came, the old man, his family, his servants and a friend went down to the cemetery, took out the body of Dr. Anwar Shukiri and reburied him in the garden of his house.
My interlocutor, from the Shukiri family, even took the trouble the next morning to bring me to the garden, and showed me the tomb surrounded by plants and flowers. "Here we also buried the old sheikh, who died less than a year after the death of his beloved son, because he could not bear the grief" ...
Ahmed Shukieri fled to Cairo and there re-entered the "politics" circle. Was on the Mufti's mission here and there ...

According to his memoirs, during 1938 and 1939 Ahmad Shuqayri lived in Beirut, where he had taken refuge to avoid arrest. In exile he acted as a publicist for the revolt and was on good terms, if not always in total agreement, with Hājj Amin, who was also based in Lebanon (al-Shuqayri 1969).

But Ahmad al-Shuqayri is best remembered in the West for his torrid, demagogic rhetoric as a Palestinian spokesperson after the revolt.
Shuqayri repeated such bombast for years: first as the Mufti's spokesman in 1948, then as Saudi Arabia's delegate to the United Nations, and finally as first chair of the PLO, created by the Arab League in 1964.

Seeing that all those pogromists, rebels and Axis agents are now allowed to sit on the Arab Higher Committee, that one of them, Mr. Shukeiri, who fled from Palestine with the Mufti, represents the Arab League in Washington, that all of them are treated with the greatest respect and reverence by the leaders of the democratic world, one must feel that the last six years were a dream, a very bad dream which has not yet ended.
The Husseinis, the family of the Jerusalem ex-Mufti, have overpowered the Nashashibis and the more moderate elements among the Arab notables.
In the process of forcing the moderates to their knees, a few of the latter were killed by the Mufti's bandits, others were intimidated, and thus "unity" among the Arabs of Palestine was achieved and widely proclaimed. The ruling families have made a deal between them, and the masses of the people will be ordered to abide by that deal or intimidated into doing so...

Out in Jerusalem, in an office situated ironically on Bethlehem Road, where, according to Jewish legend Mother Rachel weeps at midnight over the plight of her children, the people of Israel, I met Achmed Shukeiri, chief of the Arab Office, who reiterated in his conversation the words of Goebbels justified the murder of six million Jews of Europe "because Hitler could not have been all wrong," and warned that his side was ready to "play along with Moscow." They always play along, the Husseini-Shukeiri mob. Outside the Young Men's Christian Association building in Jerusalem, where the hearings of the Anglo-American Inquiry Committee were being held at the time, I met Jamal el Husseini; he issued the same warning as Shukeiri (he being Shukeiri's chief) of playing along with Moscow, and reiterated his justification of the mass murder of six million Jews "for Hitler couldn't be all wrong... you have got to see both sides of a question, my man, both sides of a question..." Arabs Seek Russian Aid in Preventing Holy Land Split Delegation May Be Sent to Moscow in Effort to Enlist Help Against British
JERUSALEM, Aug. 8 (UP)
Ahmad Shukairy. head of the Arab office, discussed today that unofficial contacts have been made with Moscow ... obtaining Soviet support for Palestine Arabs in opposing Britain's proposed partition of the Holy Land.
Shukairy said that it was possible that an Arab delegation would be sent to Moscow
even before the Palestine issue is raised before the United Nations general assembly .. scheduled to meet Sept. 23 in New York City. "We are.. somewhat late in doing this," he said, but added that unofficial, contacts with the Soviet had- been made and that official contacts, will follow. ..
He predicted that the Arab states will not participate in the discussions Britain- has scheduled so long as partition is on the agenda. He also -reemphasized that Arabs would hot participate in any round-table discussion with the Jews.
Arab States which already have accepted invitations to the London conference, he said, did so before they knew that Britain had the partition plan in mind.
Shukairy's statement came as the British commander-in-chief in Palestine, Lieut. Gen. Sir Evelyn Barker, canceled his non-fraternization order to British troops. The order couched in language which was repudiated by the London government, had forbidden British troops to associate with Jews in any manner in order to show their "scorn" of" Jewish extremist tactics. "I think the Russians are better equipped to teach the world how racial and religious discrimination could be eradicated," he said. He said that western democracy and democratic principles had failed In Palestine.

Second answer to the professors - from (A.) Dov Ben Meir's desk. June, 2007

The war against the Jewish community began on November 30, 1947 (and not on May 15, 1948). It started a day after the UN resolution and the statement of the Palestinian representative at the UN - Ahmad Shukeiri, that every word included in the UN resolution will be erased with the blood of the Jews.

On that day, seven innocent Jewish citizens traveling on a bus near the city of Lod were killed.  since then, until the date of the tragic event in Deir Yassin (April 1948), thousands of Jews were killed by Palestinians - in attacks on Jewish settlements, Jewish neighborhoods and road transportation.

This was an irregular civil war on the part of the Palestinians, in which the villagers took part and Arab urban youth - in the form of hundreds of organized groups that launched attacks on their Jewish neighbors.

I also followed him in the session of the following year.  He did not officially represent any Arab state in that session, but served as an advisor to all Arab delegations.  It was December 1953. That day came the news of Ibn Saud's death.  But the Saudi envoy could not conquer his passion even that day, at the very least, to pretend to be mourning, and deliver a slanderous speech that surpassed those of his friends.  He often quoted Israeli and Jewish sources, in order to beat us with them.  Shukeiri "edited him this speech" - everyone said then, and said that since Syria no longer needs him, because she has her own "Balaam", the Dr. (Farid) Zineidin, who knows the craft like him.  Shukeiri will surely move to serve Saudi Arabia.  And so it was.

Then I found him, in 1954, at a Dorothy Thompson's conference The Association of  American Friends of the Middle East, "The editor of a Catholic weekly in Africa "Commonville" spoke at that conference, causing the organizers a little discouragement.  He said:, I think that as an American my job is to take care of peace, and not to support only one side.  And let me say frankly, that I have no respect for a person who agrees with the words of the King of Saudi Arabia on the destruction of Israel ("I am willing to sacrifice 10 million Arabs for the destruction of Israel").  "A man who applauds the words Ibn Saud's son, will stand in the street and applaud Hitler as well."

Like snake bites, the Arab delegates jumped off their seats.  And began to shout.  Shukeiri surpassed them all, remarking to Professor H.T.  From Friedstone (also of Arab descent) because he made a mistake that he did not stop the speaker and allowed him to utter these "unfortunate things."  Professor Hitti, embarrassed, "In America" - he replied to Shukeiri and his friends - "there is freedom of speech for every individual."

NEW YORK, (JTA) -- The problems of the Middle East and the role of that area in world affairs were spotlighted here this week at the New York Herald Tribune Forum with addresses by Assistant Secretary of State George V. In addition, Vice President Richard Nixon touched on the question in his address opening the Forum's second session.
The sharpest words of the forum sessions came when the addresses by Messrs.
Eban and Shukairy were heard. The Syrian envoy spoke first and he lost no time in presenting the extreme Arab position — complete with overtones of warning to Jews throughout the world.  He said that "Zionist claims" had caused a "two-fold tragedy." His first referenee consisted of a charge of "dual loyalty" against all Jews everywhere. The second was that non-Jewish inhabitants who, he claimed, were the bulk of the population, had been deprived of their homeland. His solution was simple--the Arabs should simply go back where they came from. In passing, he struck a blow at the plan of one of the other speakers — Eric Johnston when he said that economic development of the area was in no way a solution for the refugees...

Nakba: What's in a name?

This is not a matter of discrimination In the least, as Israel, is suggesting. This Is not a matter of anti-Semitism. Semites cannot be anti-Semites," he said. Shukairy followed the line set by U.A.R. delegate Farid Zelneddine before the assembly...

'Ahmad Shukeiri - "The Diplomat for Hire"'.  Maariv, November 20, 1959. By Shai Segev

Representatives of the 82 UN member states who convened a report by Secretary-General Mr. Doug Hammerskjold - on the issue of the return of Arab refugees - sat in the glazed hall of the People's Parliament, shocked and dismayed.

In the general atmosphere of reconciliation in the world fell the words of the brown and mustachioed man, who stood on the UN podium and waved the sword of war - like thunder on a clear day. The delegates took notes, following the spasms that stroke the speaker whenever he mentioned Israel.  The swallow of the respected representative of the "slave kingdom" - Saudi Arabia, but after the identity of the speaker became clear to them, they tucked their papers into their pockets and decided to ignore the threats of war sounded in space.

This was not the first time that 60-year-old Palestinian lawyer Ahmad Shukeiri had waved his sword at Israel. In fact, this native of Acre is the definite type of Arab politician who made the tragedy of his people an ax to his personal success.  There was no international convention, or a meeting in the Arab League, in which Ahmad Shukeiri did not threaten a "second round" against Israel and did not predict the collapse of the Jewish state.

Over the years, Shukeiri - "the diplomat for hire" - has become an expression of blind hatred of Israel that does not know satiation.

It was during World War II when the star of Ahmad Shukeiri rose.

Many of the leaders of the Arabs of Palestine were exiled by the Mandatory authorities, or fled outside the borders of the Mandatory state, and the Arab population was effectively left ... without...

The young lawyer, with his witty style and energetic tone, began to be active among the young Palestinian leadership and with his reorganization of the Arab Higher Committee, immediately after World War II, Shukeiri was one of its most prominent members.  In the run-up to the "last round" of the political struggle for Mandatory Palestine, the Arab Higher Committee set up a series of Arab propaganda offices in various capitals around the world.

Ahmed Shukeiri was appointed to run the first office in Washington. Shortly afterwards, he moved to run the Jerusalem propaganda office. In this role he excelled, in particular, in public relations and in organizing many foreign party parties, many of which inadvertently turned into "fans" of the Arab national movement. Shukeiri then excelled in the harsh tone he used against Israel and the threats of extermination against the Jews, if they dared to declare the State of Israel, in accordance with the UN resolution.

However, the Israeli War of Independence revealed the true figure of General Shukeiri, and like the other Arab leaders, he also fled outside the country and left the Arabs of Palestine without leadership and without commanders.  There is no doubt that the complex that gave rise to this inflated him during the test, further increased his hatred of Israel and since then he has been renting out his language and services to various Arab countries, whose inter-Arab considerations dictated, at one time or another, extreme anti-Israel policies.

The first to absorb him was Syria, which awarded him the rank of ambassador and attached him to its UN mission.

His debut on the UN stage was at the sixth rally, in the fall of 1951, when he "predicted" for the young country a "collapse within five years."

His Syrian "citizenship" also gave him another status - the deputy secretary of the Arab League.

In this capacity he carried out an administrative reorganization in the secretariat of the League and succeeded in concentrating in his hands the political department and the departments of culture and the press.  To the "credit" of Ahmad Shukeiri is also the establishment of the Palestine Department in the Arab League, ... and the economic boycott of Israel.

Despite the boisterous remarks made by Ahmad Shukeiri at the last UN General Assembly, there is no doubt that his "highlight" period was precisely during his activities on Syria's mission. Along side main Syrian-Druze representative, Dr. Farid Zin al-Din, Shukeiri was discovered to be having multi tricks, and in various conventions he managed to gain the support of various UN countries against Israel.

President Eisenhower's rise to power in the United States and the breakdown of Israel's relations with the Soviet bloc gave Shukeiri a second chance at action against Israel...

In the beginning of 1953 he set out to the Vatican to meet the Pope... and in December 1953, and he accompanied it by sharp Arab incitement against Israel, which (claiming, supposedly) "desecrates the holy of holies in Jerusalem." As part of this journey, Shukeiri also toured Spain and some countries in Latin America...

The frequent military coups in Syria and the weakening of Damascus' position in the inter-Arab arena also weakened Ahmad Shukeiri's personal status.  He therefore "gave up" his Syrian citizenship and leased himself to the "slave kingdom and oil", Saudi Arabia.  Here, Shukeiri was given a free hand in sharp anti-Israel incitement and, in collaboration with Cairo, plotted against Israel.  For this he did not even need a special permit from King Saud, and all his aggressive declarations came at his own discretion and personal responsibility.  After the Sinai operation, when Saudi Arabia tried to block the Israeli sailing in the Gulf of Eilat, it did so at the initiative of the former Palestinian prosecutor and the failure of the operation. This enraged him even more and has increased the incitement against Israel.

However, as the overt and covert actions of the various Arab states against Israel failed, so did Ahmad Shukeiri's desire to use Arab refugees as a means of destroying Israel, for which he repeatedly suggested concentrating refugees in the West Bank of Jordan and establishing various military programs on them, to conduct an "organized campaign" of the refugees against Israel.

At one time he preached this idea in collaboration with the former Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, but recently there appeared to be a rift between them and he abandoned his former president.

Moreover, when the Mufti conceived months ago the renewed idea of forming a Palestinian government and organizing a refugee army not within the framework of the UAR (United Arab Republic), it was Shukeiri who thwarted the plan and informed dictator Nasser in person of this scheme of the Jerusalem-Mufti, by this, leaving for himself the exclusive right to "leadership" over Arab rulers in their war against Israel.

In 1958 the society issued a special release exposing Shukairy's political background. ...

In our special release we pointed out that the parallel was not as coincidental as it seemed "for Mr. Shukairy was the righthand man of the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem, Hitler's most cooperative Arab agent." The ex-Mufti was a specialist in organizing pogroms against the Jews and he quickly became a favorite of Hitler. During World War II the ex-Mufti utilized Nazi propaganda facilities to incite the Arabs against the Allies.

Mr. Shukairy himself came to the United States in 1945 and established the “Arab Office” which, for all intents and purposes, served as a propaganda outlet in the US for the anti-democratic Policies of the ex-Mufti. In 1946, Shukairy Joined the Arab higher committee which was also headed by the ex- Mufti.

Shukairy got his start in politics in the early 1930s when he belonged to a group of fanatical extremists ed by the ex-Mufti.
This gang cooperated with the Communists and prior to the HitlerStalin Pact sought in every possible way to sabotage the Allied war effort against the Nazis in the Middle East. However, when Soviet Russia joined the Allies, Shukairy's group split with the Communists and went all out for Hitler.

A SOVIET FAVORITE

During the postwar period Shukairy played an active role in maintaining tension in the Middle East and inciting the Arabs against the West. In October 1955, he publicly bragged that Syria was negotiating an arms deal with the Russians. Indeed, it is generally believed that he was one of the architects of the deal. The Russians seem to be most apprediative of Shukairy's services.

He is one of the few Arab personalities whose views receive extensive coverage by the Soviet propaganda apparatus.
Thus, in the February 1961 issue of the Soviet publication “International Affairs,” reprinted Shukairy's attack against NATO made before the political committee of the U.N. General Assembly last December. Among Shukairy's vicious charges was that NATO “has proven to be subversive to the UN.” It was, therefore, not by chance that during the debate in the Special Committee, the Soviet spokesman, Mr. Morozov, declared that he was "deeply impressed by the statement of the Saudi Arabian representative (Shukairy) and by his appeal to approach the problem in an objective and impartial way.

The Name-Calling Arab 'Statesmen'

Ahmad Shukairy, Saudi Arabia's delegate to the United Nations, found enough venom in his system to speak for five hours in his attack not only upon Israel but also upon Christian fellow-members of the great international organization.

Michael S. Comay sized him up correctly when he said that Shukairy's long attack could be summed up in four words: "Israel must be eliminated".
There is no doubt that the vast majority of the UN delegates felt as Comay did-- that Shukairy's was an "ugly and distorted image of Israel."

The pay-off came when Shukairy first attacked Dr. Joseph E. Johnson, the American representative who was sent on a special mission to the Middle East and who reported on his findings regarding Palestine Conciliation Commision; and then proceeded to berate Prof. Enrique Rodriguez' Fabregat, whom he described as a Jew who called himself a Uruguayan but who really was an exile, a refugee or a citizen of Israel.

Prof. Fabregat found it necessary to assert that he was at the UN to serve his country. "Governed by my Spanish .. ancestors. . . I believe we can no longer listen to the sort of language which was used here this morning. It is much more fitting to past ages."

Too Many Jews In UN, Arab Delegate Moans After Refugee Debate

B'nai B'rith Messenger⁩⁩, 20 April 1962.

UNITED NATIONS (WUP) —Following the debate on the Arab refugees during the recent 16-th UN session, Saudi Arabian delegate Shukairy, was heard bemoaning that there are too many ambassadors at the UN who are Jewish. At that moment, Israel's good friend. Enrique Rodriquez Fabregat of Uruguay was passing by. Shukairy, losing his temper, pointed his finger saying. There goes one of them. Fabregat is a Christian. (It is true , of course, that the UN has a number of ambassadors who are of the Jewish faith).

Arabs Head Drive for Saudi Arabia to Remove UN Envoy Claim
Ahmad Shukairy Embarrasses Moderates Urged Tacuara Salute
UNITED NATIONS (JTA) A move for the recall by Saudi Arabia of its permanent representative to the United Nations, Ahmad Shukairy, was under way here, with Arab diplomats heading the drive. The desire for Shukairy's removal from the UN scene, long contemplated by more moderate Arabs here, gained heavy impetus here after the official Saudi Arabian spokesman declared openly a "salute" to the ; anti-Semitic Tacuara movement in j Argentina and proposed that the  UN "adopt" the Tacuara movement. Shukairy's "salute" to the Tacuara movement was voiced last Friday before the General Assembly's Special Political Committee which is currently debating the Arab issue. Lucio Garcia del Solar, Argentine representative in the committee, immediately objected to the Shukairy "salute," telling the United Nations that his people and Government reject everything that Tacuara advocates.
Arab Diplomats Apologize
Embarrassed Arab diplomats, annoyed for many years by Shukairy's intemperate attacks against Israel and Jews, let it be known that they are asking the Saudi Government to take Shukairy away from the UN. Mr Meir Replies to Shukairy's Diatribe

Without mentioning Shukairy's name, but referring to him as "the gentleman from Saudi Arabia," Mrs. Meir accused him of having been a Collaborator of a Hitler associate, of uttering 'outright lies and of representing a country which not only condoned but practiced slavery.

In her address, Mrs. Meir also took an open stand against Mongi Slim of Tunisia, - president of the Assembly, who had permitted Shukairy to use the Assembly
rostrum for a speech which Israel had already termed "vicious and obscene."

Opening her remarks,. Mrs. Meir told the Assembly: "It is with a feeling of abhorrence at the statement made here yesterday by the delegates of Saudi Arabia, and surprise that this vicious speech, with its racial incitement, its direct personal
offense, and its outright false-hoods, was allowed to continue unchecked, that I come to this rostrum to make some comments."

Pointing out that Shukairy had equated Israel with Nazism, Mrs. Meir said: "Such an equation can be made only by someone
who is either totally ignorant of what Nazism was or by someone who- is indifferent to it." She cited the fact that Shukairy as a member of the Arab Higher
Committee during the Second World War was "a close associate of the Committee's leader, the notorious ex-Mufti of Jerusalem." The ex-Mufti, she said, had "spent the war years in Germany and collaborated with the Nazi leaders in connection with their extermination program of the Jews."

Mrs. Meir challenged Shukairy to point to any statement, ever made by him in condemnation of Hitler during the war. "When did the delegate from Saudi Arabia," she asked, "begin to denounce Hitler and Nazism — when they were occupying one European country after another? Or only after Hitler was defeated?"

Mrs. Meir quoted from Arab newspapers in Jordan, Damascus...
Mrs. Meir went briefly into the history of Israeli-Arab disputes and warfare from the time the Assembly voted Palestine partition in November, 1947 to the a t t a c k s against Israel launched by seven Arab states within minutes after Israel had proclaimed its independence in 1948. She recalled that it was the Arabs themselves who created the refugee problem by telling the Arabs in Palestine to leave, promising them they would be able to return "after total victory against Jews within a few weeks."

The Israel Foreign Minister once again challenged the Arab leaders to refute Israel's assertions that the 235,000 Arabs enjoy more freedom greater economic and so advantages than the Arabs in Arab states.

Fabregat regrets that Shukairy has  used the kind of language he has and says that such language “is much more fitting to past ages.” It might well follow that many of the other statements made by the Arab spokesman are as groundless ...
It is no exaggeration to say that Shukairy's tirades against the Israelis remind one of Goebbel 's attacks against the Jews in the 1940s.
Shukairy will insist that he is not anti-Semitic. For, he points out disingenuously he is himself a Semite— and how can one be against oneself? He tells the UN Committee that Zionism is the worst ism of our age. It is nastier than Fascism...

Recall of Arab Delegate from U.N. is Sought; ‘saluted’ Tacuara
[3 December, 1962]
A move for the recall by Saudi Arabia of its permanent representative to the United Nations, Ahmad Shukairy, was under way here today, with Arab diplomats heading the drive. The desire for Shukairy’s removal from the UN scene, long contemplated by more moderate Arabs here, gained heavy impetus here this weekend after the official Saudi Arabian spokesman declared openly a “salute” to the anti-Semitic Tacuara movement in Argentina and proposed that UN “adopt” the Tacuara movement.
Shukairy’s “salute” to the Tacuara movement was voiced Friday before the General Assembly’s Special Political Committee which is currently debating the Arab issue. Lucio Garcia del Solar, Argentine representative in the committee, immediately objected to the Shukairy “salute,” telling the United Nations that his people and Government reject everything that Tacuara advocates.
Embarrassed Arab diplomats, annoyed for many years by Shukairy’s intemperate attacks against Israel and Jews, let it be known that they are asking the Saudi Government to take Shukairy away from the UN. Some of the Arab diplomats apologized personally not only to Argentineans here but also to other Latin Americans, volubly assuring all that they felt Shukairy had gone much too far in his anti-Israeli drive by endorsing an open neo-Nazi movement like Tacuara.
A sharp protest against Shukairy’s endorsement of Tacuara was received here today by Dr. Leopoldo Benites, of Ecuador, chairman of the committee in which Shukairy called for the “adoption” of Tacuara. The protest came from Label A. Katz, president of the International Council of B’nai B’rith, who visited Argentina last summer and probed into the neo-Nazi movement there.
“Never in the history of the United Nations” Mr. Katz wired Ambassador Benites, “has any delegate had the audacity to make the kind of outrageous proposal offered by Mr. Ahmad Shukairy when he recommended that the racist Tacuara be “adopted by the United Nations.”

Referring to Mr. Shukairy’s Tacuara speech, in which the Saudi Arabian had also called upon all Latin Americans to support Tacuara, Don Ramon told the committee:
“I am sure his words do not represent the feelings of the many Arabs who came to Chile and live there as equal citizens. Hence I reject his words. How can he ask for such a thing? We are based on the principles of freedom. We believe in no racism. Under the Lima Charter, all Latin Americans are pledged to respect and cherish all religions.”

Israeli Ambassador Michael Comay informed the General Assembly's Special Political Committee Thursday that former Nazi Gestapo officers "have occupied key positions in the government service of the United Arab Republic, especially in the organization of its propaganda machinery and techniques." Mr. Comay further charged that "we have know for some time that certain Arab representatives and propagandists in the United States, Latin America and elsewhere, have been maintaining contacts with neo-Nazi and Fascist groups, and seeking cooperation with them in order to exploit anti-Semitism as a political weapon." .. Anti-Semitic Last Friday, Saudi Arabian Ambassador Shukairy asked the United Nations to endorse and adopt "the crusade against Zionism" as proclaimed by Tacuara, the anti-semitic Nazi movement recently organized in Argentina.

Israel and the United Arab Republic swapped bitter charges at the United Nations...
U. A. R. Deputy Foreign Minister Hussain Zalficar Sabri first inked...
Israel's U. N. Representative Michael Comay then contented that former Gestapo officers held key positions in the U. A. R. government.... ..

Comay, bitter at Sabri's statements and the earlier remarks of Ahmad Shukairy of Saudi Arabia, praising the Neo-Nazi Argentine group, Tacuara, named names in his charge that the U. A. R. Government was infiltrated with former Nazis.
He also contended that Arab representatives were in the United States, Latin America and elsewhere, and are working with Neo-Nazi groups to propogate Anti-Senitism as as a political weapon.
Comay named Johannes Bon Lewes, a propaganda expert in Hitler's Third Reich, who he claimed is a top Cairo adviser on Anti-Semitism.
Also named were Maj. Leopold Gleim and Maj. Bernard Bender, former Nazi officers now connected with the U. A. R. secret police... and Heinrich Semman (now Col. Muhammad Sulleiman) accused of war crimes in Bavaria.

Comay called the Arab charge equating Zionism and Nazism "a lot of nonsense". Zionism he said "is one of the most constructive movement in human hustiry  and perhaps the older of all liberation movements".

He called Sabri's technique one of "trying to pin the Nazi label onto Israel and Zionism in the hope that the public mind may be confused as between Hilterism and those to whom it has caused such untold suffering".

Disgusted Arab Diplomars At U. N. Sneer Privately At Envoy Of Saudi Arabia For Recent Attack On Jews

Saudi Arabia's ambassador urged the UN to indorse and adopt: "the crusade against Zionism" proclaimed by Tacuara, the anti Jewish Fascist-movement in Argentina. In words such as the U.N. has seldom heard in its 17-year history, Ahmad Shukairy paradoxically charged Nazism and racism... praised the Soviet Union for not permitting its Jews to emigrate, criticized the West for helping Israel.

He claimed to speak "with the full credentials from the Arab world," but disgusted Arab diplomats privately spread the word that "Shukairy speaks only for. Shukairy," writes Darius S. Jhabvala, of the New York Herald Tribune. The anti-Jewish and anti-Israel tirade came in a nearly two-hour speech before the Special Political Committee of the General Assembly, discussing the perennial question of the million Palestine Arab refugees. With grimaces and a lot of arm. ..
More heinous than that of South Africa.
He then denounced the British, for using Israel... To gain ends in the Middle East at the expense of the Arabs.
He had bitter words for the United States..
Mr. Shukairy lent full support to Soviet policy that forbids the emigration of Jews. "It is common knowledge," he added, reports the New York Herald Tribune, "that the Soviet Union and the countries of Eastern Europe have outlawed Zionism as a subversive and imperialist movement, and consequently have outlawed Jewish emigration. Such a position is a great service to the cause of peace in the Middle East and deserves our earnest and sincere gratification." He then urged, that the Arab refugees should "rise to arms to take not the law, but justice in their hands."

He offered a "salute" to Argentina for being the home of neo-Nazi organizations.

Argentine Ambassador Lucio Garcia del Solar, apparently embarrassed by Mr. Shukairy's snow of support of the Nazi organizations in his country, which the Argentine government has openly denounced, told the Saudi Arabian diplomat that his "salute" was unwelcome. An Israeli official, asked to comment, said: "The speech was the usual pattern for Shukairy  distortion of facts, cheap phrases and not unusual from a so-called representative from a so-called country living under medieval conditions."  https://newspapers.lib.sfu.ca/mcc-cjr-3185/page-1

Anti- Jewish Diatribe A year earlier, during a debate on the Arab refugee question, Shukairy's obsessive hatredwas etched in sharp relief by statements he made about one of the U.N.'s most distinguished delegates, Professor Enrique Rodriguez-Fabregat. chief of the Uruguavan delegation. In the course of a diatribe charging that Jews were expected to look upon Israelas their real government — the old dual loyalty canard used by anti-Semitic propagandists — Shukairy wondered aloud whether Professor Fabregat who, Shukairy said was of the Jewish faith, also considered himself to be a Jew "in exile".
That Dr. Fabregat was a member of an old Catholic family and a practicing Catholic made no difference to Shukairy. Dr. Fabregat — in sorrow, but without anger — commented that the thoughts expressed by Shukairy were "more fitting to past ages".
Undaunted, Shukairy went on to declare that there was no real anti-Semitism in the world and that anti-Semitism was a propaganda device, a "tool" serving the interests of Zionists who had, he charged , created...

A recent recommendation Ahmad Shukairy

Saudi Arabia United Nations delegate, that the United Nations endorse and spread the propaganda the anti-Semitic Tacuara neo-Nazi youth movement in Argentina is "shocking and reprehensible," Labor Zionist Executive Officers declated in a pointed statement last week. "To attempt to enlist United Nations in Anti-Semitic activity is not only an insult to intelligence of the U.N. delegates but a brazen desecration of the Declaration of Human Rights."

Pointing to the fact that Shukairy's outburst was promptly rebuked by the Argentinian Lucio Garcia del Sol, who disavowed and that similar denouncements came from the Chilean and other Latin-American sources, the Labor Zionist leaders stated that "The time has come for leades of all faiths and political parties as well as men of good will to United in condemning the atempt by Arab spokesmen to revive Hitlerism's abominable use of anti-Semitism as a political tool.

"Such irresponsible mendacious talk is an affront to the memory of millions of Jewish and non-Jewish victims of Hitler's madness. It besmirches the struggle which the Free World made to eradicate the evils of Hitlerism.

"It is time for devotees of peace to say plainly to Arab leaders: 'You deceive no one by seeking to equate Israel and Zionism with Nazism or Fascism, for it is common knowledge that the Grand Mufti and other Arab leaders openly supported the Nazi and Fascist cause during World War II.' And even today Egypt employs well-known former leaders of Hitler's government such as Johannes Von Leers as advisors on its anti-Semitic activities. The Nazis in Cairo are aided by former Gestapo officers including the notorious Maj. Leopold Gleim and Maj. Bernard Bender who hold high posts in the secret police of the United Arab Republic."

Once again the Arab leadership stands exposed before the world as the inheritors of Hitler's racist mantle. In their insane desire to destroy the Jewish State, they are his anti-Semitic theories which almost destroyed the human race. What rational person can possible defend such actions?

To their friends in the West, we ask: is this the way to achieve "Peace on Earth Goodwill towards Men?"

4 Notorious...
One other hater of Jews has just been in the limelight, Haj Amin el-Husseini was mentioned in reports from Amman during Shukairy's plot to organize an army to fight Israel and the Jews. The fact that he was quoted in Amman was a bad omen. The former Mufti of Jerusalem has such a bad record as a war criminal that to enumerate his crimes would take a full issue of the largest New Year edition of any Jewish publication. Suffice it to recall that he collaborated with Hitler in Germany, in plans to exterminate Jewry; that he was instrumental in fomenting strife in Palestine and in encouraging the wholesale massacre of defenseless Jewish theological students in Hebron in 1929
The Mufti owed his power to the first British High Commissioner for Palestine, Herbert Samuel, who tolerated him. But he was the ingrate, ruthless. Thus, anti-Semites often too often emerge on the scene to reiterate the libels, and they would reenact the crimes of genocide if permitted..

1962 More and more evidence is coming to light that a number of Arab countries are actively courting former Nazis and bringing them over, a fact that makes Israel quite nervous. Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Michael Camay, spoke to the U.N. Assembly in regard to the growing connections between the Arab world and the neo-Nazi movement. This is apparently a continuation of the activity that took place when the mufti served as Hitler’s propaganda machine and was involved in plans to exterminate the Jews. Ahmed Shukairy, Saudi Arabia’s current representative to the U.N., was a close collaborator with the mufti. He continues to spread Nazi-style hatred of Jews, even in the United Nations.

Worldwide Expose of Anti-Semitism:
Bigotry's Internationalization Leads to Tests in UN, Appeal to Wotld to Avoid Resurgence

Dramatic exposes of attempts to internationalize the anti-Semitic movement, an Arab spokesman's brazen appeal to bigotry at the United Nations and the revelations of the extent of the worldwide movement of hate contained in current studies of the issue marked the Week's development in many spheres.

A two-day conference of the World Jewish Congress, held in London last week-end, attended by representatives of 15 European countries, issued an appeal to the United Nations, all democratic governments and religious groups of all denominations to join "in energetic measures to halt increasing activities by Nazi-Fascist organizations which stir up anti-Semitic and racial hatreds in order to destroy human liberty."

Proof that "the heirs and successors" of Hitler Nazism are attempting to form a worldwide anti-Semitic organization under the temporary leadership of George Lincoln Rockwell, and planning to hold a world congress of Nazi-Fascists in Argentina, was submitted at the United Nations to Sir Muhammad Zafrulla Khan, president of the General Assembly, in the form of a photo-copy letter from Rockwell, leader of the American Nazi Party, by Dr. Maurice L. Perlzweig, head of the World Jewish Congress department of international affairs.

The Rockwell letter, dated last Oct. 3, written on swastika-emblazoned stationery of the American Nazi Party, and concluded with "Heil Hitler," was addressed to three persons in Buenos Aires, identified as Ferreyra, Dubrow and Muller, of the Argentine National Socialist Front.

Rockwell took over world leadership of the Nazi movement this fall, when Colin Jordan, British leader of the movement, was jailed for a nine-month term after being convicted of violating Britain's Public Order Act through the holding of anti-Semitic demonstrations.

While these revelations were taking place, there was a shocking demonstration of bigotry at a session of the Special Political Committee of the General Assembly of the United Nations, at which an Arab spokesman resorted to the vilest type of venom against the Jews. So revolting was his speech that even delegates from other Arab nations have begun to favor a move for that bigot's expulsion from the international body.

The move for the recall by Saudi Arabia of its permanent representative to the UN, Ahmad Shukairy, appeared to be under way with Arab diplomats heading the drive. The desire for Shukairy's removal from the UN scene, long contemplated by more moderate Arabs here, gained heavy impetus after the official Saudi Arabian spokesman declared openly a "salute" to the anti-Semitic Tacuara movement in Argentina and proposed that the UN "adopt" the Tacuara movement.

Shukairy's salute to the "Tacuara" movement was voiced Friday before the General Assembly's Special Political Committee which is currently debating the Arab issue. Lucio Garcia del Solar, Argentine representative in the committee, immediately objected to the Shukairy "salute," telling the United Nations that his people and government reject everything that Tacuara advocates.

Embarrassed Arab diplomats, annoyed for many years by Shukairy's intemperate attacks against Israel and Jews, let it be known that they are asking the Saudi government to take Shukairy away from the UN. Some of the Arab diplomats apologized personally not only to Argentinians here but also to other Latin Americans, volubly assuring all that they felt Shukairy had gone much too far in his anti-Israeli drive by endorsing an open neo-Nazi movement like Tacuara.

A sharp protest - against Shukairy's endorsement of Tacuara was received by Dr. Leopoldo Benites of Ecuador, chairman of the committee in which Shukairy called for the "adoption" of Tacuara, from Label A. Katz, president of Bnai Brith, who visited Argentina last summer and probed into the neo-Nazi movement there.

The World Jewish Congress conference in London at which the appeal was issued for worldwide action was summoned to examine the revival of Nazi-Fascist anti-Semitism in various parts of the world.

The conference also mapped an action program, including legislative, educational and similar actions in cooperation with church groups and humanitarian organizations "to curb Nazi-Fascist activities." ...

Israel’s Relations with Non-arab Lands in Middle East Irk Arabs
September 12, 1963

[SEE ORIGINAL DAILY BULLETIN FROM THIS DATE http://pdfs.jta.org/1963/1963-09-12_174.pdf?_ga=2.94983962.747827487.1592702884-1178856411.1592702881]

Proposals for tightening the Arab League’s fight against Israel, with particular emphasis on Israel’s recently improved relations with non-Arab states in the Middle East, will be placed tomorrow before the Arab League’s Council, the organization’s ruling body, according to reports from Cairo received here.
The proposals were worked out today at the session of the League’s political and economic committees in Cairo. Included are plans to combat Israel’s increased contacts with Turkey, Iran and Cyprus; tightening of the anti-Israel economic boycott; continuance of the “struggle” for repatriation of the Arab refugees to Israel; measures to be taken against Israel’s alleged plans to divert Jordan River waters; and a proposal that met with resistance from Jordan, calling for the establishment of a “Palestine entity.” The latter is envisaged as an organization similar to the FLN, the Algerian independence movement.
Jordan, with a refugee population comprising about half of the country’s total population, is cool to the “Palestine entity” idea because such a set-up could affect Amman’s jurisdiction over the refugees. Abdulah EI Zuqairat, Jordan’s representative on the 13-nation League, objected to the “Palestine entity” proposal on the grounds that no representative of the Palestine Arabs was present at the meeting.
The political committee then decided to invite Ahmed Shukairy, former Saudi Arabian delegation head at the United Nations, to join the body as a Palestine “expert.” Mr. Shukairy was fired from his UN post by the Saudi Arabian Government last winter, after some Arab representatives felt he had gone too far in the diatribes against Israel by calling upon the UN to encourage formation of anti-Semitic organizations similar to the Tacuara movement in Argentina.
In addition to Jordan’s disagreement about the “Palestine entity” plan, another inter-Arab split was seen in regard to Israel when Lebanon sought revision of a resolution calling for a boycott of banks and firms that deal with Israel. The Beirut Government had previously been reported feeling that the boycott hurts some of the Arab countries more than Israel. However, the Beirut delegation’s proposal was defeated.

Plan de Asamblea Nazi Internacional denunciado antes las Naciones Unidas

Naciones Unidas, N. Y. (OJI).

In 1958 the society issued a special release exposing Shukairy's political background. Our interest in this gentleman stemmed from the fact that, when an emergency session of the UN was convened to alleviate tensions in the Middle East, he "poured scorn on the search for a durable peace and threatened the West with the spectre of war."
Shukairy summed up the Arabs' bellicose attitude towards the West and staked out Nasser's claim to empire, in a speech whose tone and content were reminiscent of the diatribes hurled against the Western democracies by the Nazi leaders.
In our special release we pointed out that the parallel was not as coincidental as it seemed "for Mr. Shukairy was the right hand man of the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem, Hitler's most cooperative Arab agent." The ex-Mufti was a specialist in organizing pogroms against the Jews and he quickly became a favorite of Hitler.
During World War II the ex-Mufti utilized Nazi propaganda facilities to incite the
Arabs against the Allies.
Mr. Shukairy himself came to the United States in 1945 and established the Arab Office which, for all intents and purposes, served as a propaganda outlet in the US for the anti-democratic Policies of the ex-Mufti. In 1946, Shukairy joined the Arab higher committee which was also headed by the ex- Mufti.
Shukairy got his start in politics in the early 1930s when he belonged to a group of fanatical extremists led by the ex-Muftl.

Antiwar Group Warns Public of PLO Leader Shukairy

(Direct JTA Teletype Wire - to The Jewish News)

NEW YORK — In a letter to the editor published in Wednesday's New York Times, Dr. Albert Simard, secretary of the Society for the Prevention of World War Three warns of the "dangerous" background and activities of Ahmed Shukairy, head of the Palestine Liberation Organization who, he said, had expressed hatred of the West.

Recalling the pro-Hilter activities "highest levels of government" of Shukairy when he was associated with the notorious Grand Mufti of Jerusalem.

Dr. Simard said, that the Arab terrorist leader "also played a most active role in keeping tensions white hot in the Middle East and inciting the Arabs against the West." ...

Noting the PLO's announced purpose of "organizing international guerilla..." Dr. Simard cited the organization's close relationship with Communist China...

In an article published in the latest issue of the society's magazine, "Prevent World War Three," the society called on the United States to withdraw all support from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees if the UNRWA does not adjust its relief operations to ensure that no PLO guerillas are beneficiaries.

Arab leaders did plan to eliminate Israel in Six-Day War

Op-ed: During the 1967 war, Israel seized Egyptian and Jordanian operational documents with clear orders to annihilate the civil population. Nevertheless, different academics are distorting the facts in a bid to turn the Arabs into victims and Israel into an aggressor. Here’s the real story.

Ben-Dror Yemini|Published:  05.29.17 , 18:28

More than anything else, the Six-Day War has turned into a rewritten war. A sea of publications deal with what happened at the time. Gamal Abdel Nasser’s Egypt, the revisionists assert, had no ability to fight Israel, and anyway, he had no intention to do so.

It’s true that he made threats. It’s true that he sent more and more divisions to Sinai. It’s true that he expelled the United Nations observers. It’s true that he incited the masses in Arab countries. It’s true that the Arab regimes rattled their sabers and prepared for war. It’s true that he closed the Straits of Tiran. It’s true that Israel was besieged from its southern side. It’s true that this was a serious violation of international law. It’s true that it was a “casus belli” (a case of war).

All that doesn’t matter, however, because there is a mega-narrative that obligates the forces of progress to exempt the Arabs from responsibility and point the accusing finger at Israel. And when there is a narrative, who needs facts? After all, according to the mega-narrative, Israel had expansionist plans, so it seized the opportunity. Different scholars are distorting the facts in a bid to turn the Arabs into victims and Israel into an aggressor.

Excuse us for winning

I was a child, an elementary school student. I remember fear, a lot of fear. There were no shelters in the house I lived in. It was clear that there would be bombings, so we dug pits in the yard.

Occasionally, we are reminded of the sound of thunder from Cairo to remind us of the annihilation threats. But in fact, they were much more serious. Both the Arab League and the leaders of all neighboring states announced in an unequivocal manner that the plan was annihilation. I repeat: Annihilation. Arrogant talk? Considering the fact that the Arab and Muslim world was engaged in endless self and mutual massacres, it was pretty clear that what they were doing to themselves—and it’s still going on—they would also do to Israel.

We must remember one thing, therefore: The alternative to victory was annihilation. So excuse us for winning. Because an occupation without an annihilation is preferable to an annihilation without an occupation.

‘Our goal is clear: To wipe Israel off the map’

The Arab states never accepted the State of Israel’s existence, not for a moment. There was no occupation from 1949 to 1967, but a Palestinian state wasn’t established, because the leaders of the Arab world didn’t want another state. They wanted Israel. They didn’t hide their intentions for a minute.

The new stage began in 1964. On the backdrop of a conflict over the water sources, the Arab League convened in Cairo and announced: “... collective Arab military preparations, when they are completed, will constitute the ultimate practical means for the final liquidation of Israel.”

Two years went by, and then-defense minister Hafez Assad, who went on to become Syria's president, declared: "Strike the enemy’s settlements, turn them into dust, pave the Arab roads with the skulls of Jews.” And to erase any doubt, he added: "We are determined to saturate this earth with your (Israeli) blood, to throw you into the sea.”

Nine days before the war broke out, Nasser said: “The Arab people want to fight. Our basic aim is the destruction of the State of Israel.” Two more days passed before Iraq’s president, Abdul Rahman Arif, joined the threats: “This is our chance…our goal is clear: To wipe Israel off the map.”

Two days before the war broke out, PLO founder and leader Ahmad Shukieri said: “Whoever survives will stay in Palestine, but in my opinion, no one will remain alive.” Yes, that was the atmosphere. Does anyone still seriously think that those were just declarations? Does anyone think that their intention was an enlightened occupation? Does anyone think that there would not have been a mass slaughter like the one Egypt carried out in Yemen and later on in Biafra?

The Oslo Gamble
Joel Fishman and Yossi Kuperwasser
[...]
From the founding of the Palestine Liberation Organization in 1964, the destruction of the State of Israel and the pursuit of the “armed struggle” has been its main goal.

In fact, Ahmad al-Shukeiri [Shuqayrī], the first Chairman of the PLO (1964-1967) and the man who drafted the Palestinian Covenant, proclaimed in his book, Liberation-not Negotiation, that Palestine should be conquered only as a result of armed struggle and not as a result of compromise. Although the Palestinians and their well-meaning sympathizers have played it down, this fundamental policy has remained frozen in time. Despite having adopted a façade which has lent them a veneer of respectability, terror and violence have constantly remained a part of their program. Proof of this may be found in the well-publicized program of the PA to subsidize terrorists who have committed violent crimes against civilians. No Jewish (and Israeli) civilians can be innocent or entitled to mercy.

What Is Future Of Palestine Liberation Forces?
BEIRUT, Lebanon.
The Arab defeat in the Middle East war leaves a big question mark over the future of the Palestine Liberation Organization and its firebrand leader leftist Ahemd Shukairy.

Shukairy narrowly escaped capture by Israeli forces in Jerusalem and many of his "Liberation Army" are now prisoners of the Israelis. "We will wipe Israel off the face of the map and no Jew will survive," Shukairy declared two days before the war broke out June 5.
He vowed to lead the vanguard of his troops into the Israeli sector of Jerusalem and set up a "purely Arab government'' there for all of Palestine.

The 60-year-old former lawyer was seen briefly in Amman and Damscus in the last stages of the fighting wearing a khaki battle uniform.
Persons who saw him said he looked fatigued and dejected. His army of 15,000 guerrillas had moved into some of the Sinai and Gaza Strip positions evacuated by the U.N. Emergency force before the fighting began. Several thousand of them are believed to be in Israeli hands with most of their arms and equipment.
Most of the equipment for Shukairy's force came from the Soviet bloc and Red China, and he boasted that he had the support of the Chinese leaders.
Egypt and Syria gave him strong support, but Jordan and other pro-Western Arab countries objected to his ultra-leftist leanings and his campaign to overthrow King Hussein of Jordan.
Jordan never allowed the Liberation Army to operate on its territory, which would have been the logical springboard for an attack on Israel. Last December, the Jordanian government ordered Shukairy to close his office in the Jordanian sector of Jerusalem. Shukairy and Hussein made up publicly when the king signed a defense alliance with Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser, but the Israeli victory ended that..

Shukairy Steps Down It Might Be Said that Terror is his middle name.
"We will wipe Israel off the face of the map and no Jew will survive," warned Ahmed Shukairy last June. As head of the clandestine Palestine Liberation Organization for the past four years, Shukairy has been responsible for the murders of dozens of Israeli men, women and children in bloody midnight raids across the borders of Jordan and Syria.

A Jowly heavy-lidded Haifa lawyer, he fired up his followers with injunctions for a "sacred war," like the Koran's: "Kill them wherever you find them. Drive them out of the places from which they drove you." Israel and the Jews have by no means been Shukairy's only targets. - He hates the United States nearly as much and isn't terribly fond of Jordan either. With characteristic temperance he once said that anyone "who ever dares to speak in public of Arab friendship-with the United States in any Arab village or town would be torn to pieces." He once described Jordan's moderate king as the "tyrant of Amman, Hussein; who betrayed Allah, the Prophet...

With this achieved, we will be able to march together along the right road which will lead to the removal of the disgrace and to the liberation of Palestine."

FROM DOOM TO BOOM
... The dark warnings of Arab leaders about what would happen to Israel if their forces were to triumph had been all too explicit. Only a week before the outbreak of fighting, Egypt's president, Gamal Abdul Nasser , had threatened that "this will be a total war. Our basic aim is the destruction of Israel." And the head of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Ahmed Shukairy, had added to the sense of looming tragedy, "Those native-born Israelis who survive can remain in Palestine. But I estimate that none of them will survive."

Having been thoroughly familiar with Arab politics for thirty years, he believed he could teach Arafat a lesson in tactics. In December 1967, he announced that a secret pan- terrorist conference supposedly held in Jerusalem came to a close, with a decision to establish the Revolution Council Command for the Liberation of Palestine. The Council's slogan was borrowed from Nasser's speeches — "That which was taken by force shall be restored by force. ...
In due time, it was revealed that the idea of setting up a Revolutionary Palestinian Council had been born in Beirut, when Shukeiri had met with a group of independent Palestinian intellectuals who had promised to consult with Arafat on the subject.
Sukeiri, who had once been pictured as the "King of Palestine" by a cartoonist, had now become the symbol of Arab defeat in the war. Left-wing hatred of Jews in divided Germany

Jeffrey Herf's book “Unexplained Wars against Israel” is more topical than ever

From Sylke Kirschnick

... Because the West is always at the disposal of anti-Semitism, it differs from other inhuman hostilities against groups. Hardly anything becomes clearer in Jeffrey Herf's new book  Unexplained Wars against Israel. In 14 chapters, the historian examines left hostility towards Jews: Where do false accusations such as apartheid, colonialism and imperialism against Israel come from? Who declared Zionism racism and fascism? And who brought the countless comparisons between Israel and Nazi Germany into circulation? The new study provides conclusive answers to these questions. Herf's focus is on the GDR and West German left-wing extremists in the period between the Six Day War in 1967 and 1989, when the Eastern Bloc collapsed. Jews in Germany and Israeli civilians were affected by constant propaganda, terrorist attacks, military aid in the form of training courses or arms deliveries to Arab states and the PLO. That is why Herf includes their voices in his presentation. Incidentally, but all the more impressive, it resembles the communist,

Imperialism? Colonialism? Racism? Fascism?

The speech that the then GDR head of state Walter Ulbricht gave in Leipzig a few days after the end of the Six Day War on June 15, 1967, brought together all the above-mentioned accusations against the allegedly sole responsible "aggressor": Israel is the instrument of the US Imperialism, represent a colonial rule and cultivate "racial madness and class arrogance". Ulbricht drew the connection to fascism through the vocabulary "Protectorate" and "Generalgouvernement", which was supposed to associate the Nazi occupation in the CSR and Poland. East German media frankly compared the incumbent Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Dajan with Heinrich Himmler, describing Israel's preventive strike as a “lightning war” (as did some West German media, above all  Der Spiegel) or assumed, as in the 1982 Lebanon War, that Israel is pursuing an "extermination policy" and is conducting an "extermination campaign against the Palestinian people".

According to Herf, the Arab world and the Soviet Union introduced the fascism and Nazi comparisons to the media public. According to Marxist-Leninist doctrine, fascism was a natural consequence of capitalism and imperialism. The PLO Charter of 1968 spread the accusation of racism. Herf rightly devotes a separate section to it, because with Yasser Arafat's speech to the UN in April 1974 she inspired UN Resolution 3379 of 1975, which declared Zionism to be racism and Israel placed on a par with South Africa and Rhodesia. The accusations of apartheid that are now being brought against Israel at American universities come from this period. It was not until 1991, after the collapse of the Eastern Bloc, that the UN withdrew the resolution.

In his 1967 speech, Ulbricht flatly denied the existential threat to Israel from the neighboring Arab states in the run-up to the Six Day War. Herf countered the threats from the Arab media at the time: "After this war there will hardly be any Jewish survivors," for example the then PLO leader Ahmad Shukeiri on the Egyptian state radio from Cairo, following the tradition of the racial anti-Semite and Nazi collaborator Amin interrogate el-Husseini. Neither these extermination fantasies nor the terrorist acts against Israeli civilians were ever a topic in the East German media. West German left only had to consult them in order to stock up on anti-Israeli slogans. The correspondence cannot be overlooked and showing it is one of the merits of Herf's book...

Israel - Tuesday 20 May 2008 - Hansard - UK Parliament

... In fact, in 1967, Israel went out of its way to make desperate efforts to persuade King Hussein not to attack it in the rear while it was involved in the war in the west that had been provoked by President Nasser. But King Hussein of Jordan found that he was under such pressure—blackmail, really—from Nasser and the Palestinian leader at the time, Ahmad Al-Shukairy, that the future of his own kingdom would be threatened if he did not join in the war and attack Israel. So he attacked Israel in that war and, as we all know, he was defeated, the Arab Legion retreated and the Israelis found themselves on the banks of the Jordan river. Again, it is difficult to blame the Israelis for that. Once they were there, what were they to do?

Once again, and for 25 further years, the Palestinian leadership refused to deal with Israel, refused any kind of settlement and decided instead, first, under Ahmad Al-Shukairy and then under his successor, Yasser Arafat, to invest in international terrorism—those were the terrible days of the Achille Lauro and the murder of the Israeli athletes and so forth—as if that were going to solve the problems of the Palestinian people. So the Palestinian people were condemned, for another 25 years, to a continuation of the purgatory of statelessness, the lack of any sense of future and the inability to enjoy any kind of compensation, as they should have had and, I hope, still will have. All of those who left in 1948 should have had compensation a long time ago for the land that they left behind. That is a sad story...

The big imaginative leap forward came with Ehud Barak's Government's proposal in 2000 at the Camp David conference, which would have involved transferring to Palestine 98 per cent. of the territories, including the Haram al-Sharif in Jerusalem. As we know, the then Palestinian leader declined that offer and declined even to negotiate on it, to the consternation of President Clinton and the other Americans present. That was an extraordinary decision: it was a decision to invest in violence, as we found, rather than invest in peace. We now know that Yasser Arafat was planning the second intifada all along, which, as we recall all too well, involved the obscenity of suicide bombing, sometimes involving impressionable adolescents and people with mental illnesses. For a third time, the Palestinian leadership decided, when given the choice, to go down the route of violence and, again, that did not work. Fortunately, largely as a result of the construction of the security fence or wall in the west bank, that campaign of violence did not succeed.
..
There have been peoples who have had worse leaders than the Palestinian leadership—the Russians had Stalin and the Germans had Hitler—but throughout human history I cannot think of any people who have been cursed with three leaders of the quality of the Grand Mufti, Haj Amin al-Husseini, the friend of Hitler, Ahmad Al-Shukairy and Yasser Arafat, who is now dead and is generally despised by Palestinian militants of all hues because of the massive evidence of corruption that has emerged since his death.

Throught all these years these fragmented people have had no political life. The Palestine commandos or fadayeen are mainly a political instrument dedicated to uniting the Palestine Arabs.

Fiery-eyed Yaser Arafat, a Cairo educated Palestine Arab, leads the main commando organization, Al Fateh. A second leader is former diplomat Ahmed Shukairy, - who has represented Syria and Saudi Arabia. And a third, Georges Habeche, a Palestinian who became a doctor in Lebanon, is on record in summary of the objective: "The Palestine Arabs can be mobilized only around the issue of fighting."

The State Department finds that such leaders as Arafat, Shukairy and Habeche talk of "fighting for 20 or so years." In the 1930's Arab terrorists and “guerrillas” waged a continuous war against Jewish settlements in Palestine : arson , destruction of wells and pipelines , and murder . Then as now, they were part of the apparatus of "Arab liberation."
It was with the active propaganda and financial support of the Nazis and Fascists that Haj Amin El Husseini , Mufti of Jerusalem and Nazi propagandist , advocated mass murder of the Jews . Ahmed Shukeiri, present head of the so - called Palestine Liberation Organization, is a large landowner, an unmistakable heir of the revanchist chauvinism of the pro-Nazi Arab, who dares to proclaim himself leader of a national liberation struggle and offer "support" to the Vietnamese Liberation Front.
One day the head of the reactionary Syrian delegation to the United Nations, another day leader of the Saudi Arabian delegation , on yet another day he heads "guerrilla war" against Israel, a war against individual citizens, with "guerrillas" who never dare attack a military force, a “guerrilla force” which is, in fact, not a guerrilla force at all but a band of mercenaries in the pay of a foreign power, Egypt.

And Nasser ? He has a dream of destruction, a dream which in June 1967 took the shape of a "final battle that will bring Israel's defeat. In this battle the dream of the Arabs to exterminate Israel will come true."

To this list may be added Arab League representation that began in 1952 when Issa Nakhle, accredited as press attache to the Egyptian Embassy  and later a Syrian diplomat, opened an office in Buenos Aires. The office continues to function despite a crisis in 1964, caused by the relations of Hussein Triki with right-wing circles.
A curious result of this policy took place at the United Nations in 1962: Ahmed Shukairy, then head of the Saudi Arabian delegation, openly praised the Argentine Nazi group Tacuara. The Argentine delegate expressed dismay.
Another example of cooperation between pro-Nazi groups and the Arabs is the Chilean publication Cruz Gamada (swastika), most of which is devoted to "Palestine. Arab land" and "Communist- Jewish infiltration." Or "capitalist Jewish exploitation,"
Another curious result of this sort of collusion took place in Buenos Aires in 1964. At a public meeting called to express solidarity with the Arab states, the Arab League delegate was greeted with " expel the Jews to Israel" and the Nazi salute.

Arabs Admirers of Nazism
WHEN HITLER BECAME ABU ALI - 07/06/2002 [Miami Herald]
Forty years ago last week, SS-Oberstumbannfuehrer Adolf Eichmann was executed in Israel. He had been arrested at the end of World War II and confined to an American internment camp, but he managed to escape to Argentina. He lived there for 10 years under the name Ricardo Klement until Israeli secret agents abducted him in 1960 and spirited him to Israel.
Eight months after his trial opened in Jerusalem, Eichmann was found guilty of crimes against humanity and the Jewish people and was sentenced to death. He was executed on May 31, 1962; his remains were cremated and the ashes scattered over the Mediterranean Sea — outside Israeli waters. This is the only case in which the death penalty has been carried out in Israel.
Eichmann's record is notorious. He was the head of the Department for Jewish Affairs in the Gestapo from 1941 to 1945 and was chief of operations in sending three million Jews to the extermination camps. After the war, he became one of the most sought-out Nazi fugitives.
The international community condemned Israel's kidnapping of Eichmann, but it was nonetheless able to see the justice in, and legitimacy of, Israel's action. The trial itself, marked by strict adherence to legal procedure, elicited worldwide admiration, and the Nazi's execution was seen everywhere as a crucial vindication in the post-Holocaust era.
Everywhere, that is, but in the Arab world. There, Eichmann's capture, trial and execution were condemned, and Eichmann was venerated as a "martyr." The Jordanian daily A-Ra' ai praised him for exterminating "members of the race of dogs and monkeys." The Saudi periodical Al-Bilar saluted him for his courage. The Lebanese newspaper Al-Anwar published a cartoon lamenting the fact that the Nazi officer had not killed more Jews.
But let us view this Arab beatification of Eichmann in its proper historical context.
When Hitler took power in 1933, telegrams of congratulations were dispatched from Arab capitals. In 1937, Nazi Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels praised the Arabs' "national .. conscience," noting that "Nazi flags fly in Palestine and they adorn their houses with Swastikas and portraits of Hitler." In 1943, Heinrich Himmler, the head of the SS, spoke highly of the ''natural alliance that exists between the National-Socialism of Great Germany and the freedom-loving Muslims of the world."

HISTORICAL INVERSION
Pro-German parties and youth movements attuned to the trappings of National-Socialism sprouted in Syria, Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt. Even Nazi slogans were translated into Arabic. A Mideast song popular in the late 1930s crooned: "No more Monsieur, no more Mister. In Heaven Allah, on Earth Hitler." The Fuehrer himself was even Islamicized under the new name of Abu Ali.
Love of Nazism spread like wildfire in the region. Among the many Nazi sympathizers at the time were Haj Amin al-Husseini, Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and president of the Arab Higher Committee; Ahmed Shukairi, first chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization; Gamal Abdel Nasser and Anwar Sadat, who became presidents of Egypt; Islamic fundamentalist leaders; and the founders of the Pan-Arab socialist Ba'ath party, currently ruling Syria and Iraq. (One Ba'ath leader proudly recounted: "We were racists, admiring Nazism, reading their books and sources of their thought. We were the first who thought of translating Mein Kampf").
Praise for Hitler among Arabs did not vanish after the war. In 1965, a Moroccan commentator on Middle East affairs wrote this in the French magazine Les Temps Modernes: "A Hitlerian myth is being cultivated on a popular level. Hitler's massacre of the Jews is eulogized. It is even believed that Hitler did not die. His arrival is longed for."
In mid-2001, an Egyptian columnist wrote in the government-sponsored Al-Akhbar: "Thank you, Hitler, of blessed memory, who on behalf of the Palestinians avenged in advance against the most vile criminals on Earth." Two months later, Egypt's Press Syndicate awarded this writer its highest distinction.
Since Hitler's ascent to power in 1933, the Arabs have been adulating Nazism. It seems that some things never change — or perhaps some things do. Now the Arabs accuse the Jews of being Nazis. In this way, Hitler's loyal fans are equating the primary victims of his genocide with the Nazi executioners themselves.
The defining expression of chutzpah is a man who murders his parents and then begs the jury for pity on the grounds that he is an orphan. But the Arabs' perverse historical and moral inversion requires a new definition for the term. For chutzpah cannot sufficiently represent this incredible gall.

HISTORY’S WORST SERIAL ABUSERS
By thecjnadmin

If one of the chief obligations of national leaders is to demonstrate, through example, the preferred qualities of nationhood such as civility, tolerance, mutual respect and equal rights, then the Palestinian leaders have failed their people entirely. Ever since Arabs and Jews have contended over the same piece of land, Palestinian leaders have ignored the work of building a sovereign structure for their own people and have focused instead on tearing down the one built by the Jews.
Haj Amin El Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, the first acknowledged Palestinian leader, ceaselessly railed against Jews. In 1941, he travelled to Berlin to offer Adolf Hitler his services in the genocide then unfolding. After World War II, the government of Yugoslavia sought to prosecute him for war crimes.

Ahmad Shukairy, Husseini’s former aide, was the next leader of the Palestinians. In 1964, the Arab League appointed him to head the newly created Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). Lebanese-born Shukairy was the first to hurl the apartheid slander at Israel even as he tirelessly advocated “driving the Jews into the sea.” “We shall destroy Israel and its inhabitants, and as for the survivors – if there are any – the boats are ready to deport them,” Shukairy sermonized in Jerusalem on June 1, 1967.
Yasser Arafat, the next leader of the PLO, elevated terror to rich political currency even as he lied effortlessly to world leaders such as U.S. president Bill Clinton. From the lawn of the White House, with much of the world watching, he permanently foreswore violence. But his commitment was a ruse, because he actually viewed violence as a sanctified portal into Arab history. Three years after he signed the Oslo accords, he said in Stockholm, “We will not bend or fail until the blood of every last Jew from the youngest child to the oldest elder is spilt to redeem our land!”

Even though current Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas appeals more to western leaders, he does not engender the same loyalty among Palestinians that the fabled Arafat did. However, he spreads anti-Israel poison just as effectively. “The Muslim and Christian world will never accept Israeli claims that Jerusalem is theirs. Don’t let our holy sites be contaminated [by the presence of Jews],” Abbas urged his people just last month.
Palestinian leaders have never strayed from their core message: the rejection of a sovereign Jewish state. And yet, it is they who have won the propaganda war against Israel. Irrespective of the nature of the outrages they incite or direct against Israel, Palestinian leaders, unfortunately, are seldom held to account by the governments of the world or the countless social activists who march in solidarity with them on the streets of Europe and North America.
But though they have won the propaganda campaign, Palestinian leaders have abjectly lost the campaign that should have mattered most to them: fostering high national character and building a country.
In place of a people arcing determinedly, even nobly, toward nation-building, mustering individual and collective energies for scientific, economic, educational, fiscal, commercial, industrial, medical, engineering, governmental, cultural and social pursuits that nation-building requires, Palestinian leaders have inculcated, revelled in and glorified a national self-identity as perpetual victims. In a sense, they have deformed their people’s inherent goodness, drive and dynamism and created instead a deep, structural pathology that celebrates murderers, lionizes killers and kidnappers, and regards the annihilation of another people – Israel – as virtuous.
Propaganda, however, is evanescent. It changes as rapidly as the headlines atop a news story. But the need for a reliably strong and manifestly good national character transcends time. It is the foundation on which a prosperous, caring society must be built.
For their colossal disregard of what truly counts in a national psyche and ethos, Palestinian leaders will one day be seen as history’s worst serial abusers of their own.

The most shocking event came in June, when Graciela Narcisa Sirota, a nineteen-year-old Jewish university student, was kidnapped and tortured by members of Tacuara. The abductors burned her with cigarettes, tattooed a swastika on her, and told her that the attack was “revenge for Eichmann.” Days later the DAIA called a strike to protest this attack. Most Jewish, and many non-Jewish businesses closed their doors and posted posted signs in their windows reading "Closed as a protest against Nazi aggressions in Argentina". Many high school and university students joined the strike, and various political, union and civil organizations expressed support.

Two Palestinian dreams: Exterminate Israel and a real nation-state

Ahmed Shukairy of the then-3-year-old Palestine Liberation Organization, was asked what would happen to Israelis after the war. “I estimate that none of them will survive,” he replied.

Instead, in what became known as the Six-Day War, Israelis prevailed, taking Gaza from Egypt, and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, from Jordan.
