Nasser's Nazi advisers

The dexterity and speed with which the Nasser government has moved against its Jewish population have been cited by many observers as indicating that practiced hands have been guiding this campaign.

It is well known that Egypt employs many foreign advisers, including Communist technicians from Russia and her satellites. But the employment of German Nazis, former Wehrmacht officers and members of the Afrika Korps has been largely hidden from the world.

At present, it is estimated that some 200 or more work in Egypt, including:

SS Gen. Wilhelm Voss - in charge of Egypt's Central Planning Board and chief adviser to the War Minister.

Dr. Johann von Leers, associate of Goebbels and notorious anti-Semite - advises on anti-Jewish propaganda.

Indicative of Egypt's attempt to hide her Nazis is the fact that William Stevenson of the Toronto Star was expelled from the country 24 hours after filing the first interview with von Leers.

Gen. Otto Remer - headed the Egyptiantraining program which created the fedayeen guerrilla fighters.

There is something old about Semites turning Anti-Semitic...
On May 26, the 'Voice of the Arabs' introduced an Algerian poet who recited a long poem, every line of which contained crude curses against the Jews.

Recitations from the Koran and sermons have lately drawh heavily on anti-Jews texts. -- not a difficult text when we remember that the Koran contains pro and anti-Jewish versus.

New songs have appeared on the Egyptian radio in which anti-Jewish themes predominate more than the theme of Palestine.

A song introduced on the 14th of the last month reads in part:

"We shall trample the Jews underfoot.
We shall break their swords...
And then where will the Jews go?"

On the 12th of last month, the voice of the Arabs' said: hitler realized that the Jews were the di...st human bring, thus Hitler took up the slaughter of the Jews in order to cleanse the earth of them.' 
A Nasserist weekly in Lebanon, 'Al Answar,' published a caricature in which Eichman is sentenced to death because he left so many Jews un-slaughtered.
Another Nasserist weekly 'Al Sayaad,' depicted Cohen, standing this time for Anerican Jewry, as the criminal who should have been gassed to death instead of Chess-man.

Where will this lead to Nasser?... 

Recently the 'Voice of Arabs' have increased the number of programmes and speeches which end with the threat of throwing the Jews into the sea and exterminating to the last man in an Arab 'Holy March on Israel.' 
But the Nasser's Cohen line might also he a latter-day affect of the increasing number of Nazi experts who have found their shelters in Egpyt and in Syria.

We published an article showing how Hitler's "Mein Kampf” had become bestseller among Egyptian officers.

Another article in this same issue revealed how former German Nazis had taken control of Nasser's punitive forces.
This element was responsible for the ruthless elimination of all opposition to Nasser and for the setting up of concentration camps.

the next issue of Prevent World War III (No. 51), we ran a full length article dealing with the role played by Nasser and his associates in working for the German general staff during World War II. This information was culled from a book written by one of President Nasser's closest colleagues, Col. Anwar el Sadat. In his book,"Revolt on the Nile," Sadat recounts the story of how Nasser and a group of young Egyptian officers collaborated with the forces of the Rome-Berlin-Tokyo Axis against the Allied Powers. 
With regard to the services rendered to the Fascist axis by Nasser and his friends , Col. Sadat wrote: "We made contact with the German headquarters in Libya and we acted in complete harmony with them." Sadat is candid enough to tell us that Nasser and his cohorts were resolved" to fight side by side with the axis." 
Even after the war Sadat expressed his sympathies for the Axis. Thus, when asked in 1951 by an Egyptian magazine how he would appraise Hitler's activities 8 years after his death and what advice he would give the Fuehrer, should he appear again, Sadat replied: "Dear Hitler, I welcome you back with all my heart. You have been defeated, but in fact one should regard you as the real victor: There will be no peace in the world until Germany again takes first place. Your main mistake was in opening too many fronts, but everything has been forgiven, for you are a shining example of belief in one's fatherland and people . You are eternal, and we shall not be surprised if we see you again, or a second Hitler back in Germany."
